SPANISH STUDENT’S EVALUATION FROM THE FIRST MEETING IN BARI-ITALY 25TH-29TH OCTOBER
NAME AND SURNAMES Liliana Campos Díaz
DATE 25th November 2011
- DID YOU HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR GUEST STUDENT?
Of course I did. My guest student was perfect for me. Her English was very well and we could improve it by talking to each other.
- HOW WERE YOU TREATED IN YOUR GUEST FAMILY?
My guest student´s parents were very kind and friendly. They tried to speak English for me to understand them. The familiar lunch times were wonderful and the relation with the family was great.
- HOW WAS YOUR WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER STUDENTS FROM EUROPEAN COUNTRIES?
On the one hand, I was a little bit worried about the other students because I didn´t know them and it was difficult for me to know whether they were reliable or not. On the other hand, the wide range of activities that we did together helped us to be more self confident and to make friends easier. It was absolutely wonderful working with them.
- DID YOU ENJOY THE ESTABLISHED VISITS/EXCURSIONS WE HAD? WHICH ONE WAS YOUR FAVOURITE ONE-ONES?
I really enjoyed all of them because they were a good way to know more about Italy, specially Bari, the European culture and the different places full of history. My favourite visit was the excursion to Bari. It was great to see people with different cultures in a big city.
- HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE TEACHERS INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT?
In my opinion, the teachers did as much as possible to help us and to make our travel more interesting. They all had enough knowledge to take part in this type of project.
- WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE TO OTHER STUDENTS? WHY?
I would strongly recommend this experience to other students. During the travel I could learnt more much about the European culture than I expected. This is a fantastic, useful way to share knowledge with other students and feel comfortable with tenagers as me.
- WRITE A BRIEF TEXT EXPLAINING HOW YOU FEEL AFTER THE FIRST MOVILITY?
When I arrived to Italy, what I didn´t know was that I would actually feel comfortable and I couldn´t wait to know my exchange student. Taking a plane with my classmates and my teachers, visiting so many cultural places, eating typical Italian food and having fun during the school trips was just unforgettable. I didn´t want to come back to Spain. That´s why I started crying when we had to say goodbye.
I will never forget the new friends I made. Luckily, some of them, the Italian students, are coming to Spain on February. I will do as much as possible to make them feel good as they did.
SPANISH STUDENTS EVALUATION Meeting Spain
CLAUDIA BETHENCOURT
1. Did you have a good relationship with your guest student ?
Yes. In my case, we were three girls at home and we had a good relationship together. It was fantastic to have the experience. We were like three sisters.
2. How were you treated in your guest family?
My parents don’t speak English, but they always tried to speak with the girls in the language. The girls have already told me that the treatment in the family was wonderful.
3. How was your working experience with other students from European countries?
At the beginning it was a little bit difficult because all the students I think were so shy, but the days after I felt very good with all and I think the activities like the ones the people of TASOC made and the performances was a good idea to meet each other.
4. Did you enjoy the established visits / excursions we had?
Yes, I think that we all enjoyed that, but most of the people didn’t pay attention of the visits like museums because we were talking all time because we didn´t have the time we would like to have, I mean more free time.
5. How was your experience with the teachers involved in the project?
I didn’t really talk to the other teachers, but they seemed to be really good teachers. My “mates” told me.
6. Would you recommend this experience to other students? Why?
Yes of course ! You don’t have the opportunity to meet new people from “all over the world” every day. You can have a friend who lives in another country and then you can go to visit that place. I would recommend it.
7. Write a brief text explaining how you feel after this meeting.
I didn’t want the project to finish. It was a really great time spent here with friends with other cultures. I have learnt about other forms of view for example. I always want speak with them and know how they are because I felt very good and I miss them so much. I want to see them soon!

4. In my opinion, the excursions were very lively, interesting and special. Some, like City Hall, were a bit boring. However, in general they were all great, especially the beach and dunes.
5. The teachers were like friends. The teachers were very happy and proud. All teachers, both those of other European countries, and ours, they were always talking to us. They always asked, How are you? Do you like the family? Do you like your guest?.
6. Yes, I would recommend it. I loved it. In my opinion, I improved my English language. On the COMENIUS project, I have met wonderful people from other European countries and that benefits me in my life, my friends and my relationships.
7. This experience has been wonderful. Knowing all these important people is perfect. I enjoyed being part of this project. I have known places of “Las Palmas de Gran Canaria´´. I know even parts of the country of my guest. I developed relationships with my own teachers. I created many friends of other nationalities, regardless of language, colour or ideas. I will try not to lose my relationship with my new friends. I hope I will take part of other educational projects like this. Thank you for this opportunity.

When the guest students went home and the project finished I felt like alone and missed them a lot. We have been sharing some photos, videos and good memories about this fantastic experience. CARLA NAVARRO
Did you have a good relationship with your guest student?
The relation between us two was very good. As we had previous contact via e-mail we knew a lot of stuff about the other so there wasn’t any type of problem on how to start a conversation. In addition, my guest student, Amadeya, was very polite and very nice.
How was your working experience with other students from European countries?
In fact, it was better than what I thought it would be. I had this idea that maybe they were cooler or something like that but it turned out to be the opposite. It was an amazing experience. I got to know a lot about them and their cultures. Anyway, it was like working with any other of my friends.
Did you enjoy the established visits / excursions we had?
In general I did have a good time in all the activities we did outside the school. However, the first one, the tour in the ‘Casas Consistoriales’, was very boring for both students and I think it also was for teachers.
How was your experience with the teachers involved in the project?
The truth is I didn’t have much contact with them as I was mostly with the other students, either way, the ones I got to talk to were very nice and actually very interesting people.
Would you recommend this experience to other students? Why?
Of course I would recommend this to anyone, not only because of the stuff about getting to know other people and other cultures and such but also because you realize that even though our lifestyle differ a lot, we can get along without any difficulty, therefore, a lot of believes I had of them were changed after this.
In short, I would and will definitely recommend this to students.
Write a brief text explaining how you feel after this meeting.
I think I’ve pretty much explain my feelings about this meeting in the other questions and I don’t really have any more to say. A thing, which came down to me while we were in the project, is that even though many people didn’t have a good English level they were able to communicate perfectly with the foreign students. That really surprised me to the better.
